Best app I have used (and Ive tried a lot) for the iPad. The killer feature for me is seamless integration with the desktop version, with sync via Dropbox.

I’ve been a huge fan of mind maps for years. I love the simplicity of funcion in this one, while at the same time offering so much in the way of bells and whistles to add that personal touch to your mind map. This is a must have app for anyone who likes to think outside the box.
I love the native feel of SimpleMind compared to other Mindmapping software. This tool lets me build out my map with more flexibility on where each node appears, and it has a very intuitive featureset with zooming and colour options. Its my "go to" tool for those times when I need to brainstorm, analyze, or think through a problem visually. Highly recommended.
Been using Simplemind for a couple years now and love it. No complaints! Except one: I wish it was on the cloud so I could login via web and build/make changes to my maps. Future update?
I have used SImplemind for studies, working on programming ideas as well as writing concepts. It’s an easy program to use and it constraints you (in a good way) on the ideas while keeping everything neatly organized. Also, it’s one of the few mind mapping options availble on all platforms and it supports dropbox, so it’s easy to sync across all devices. Developper response is fast and helpful. My only complaint is lack of cloud support for dropbox and icloud, but the dev informed me they are working on it.
I really shouldn’t say, but… However, I am only missing one feature that XMind had which was the ability to use the Enter key and arrow keys to add nodes instead of reaching having to reach for the mouse all the time. If I were to ask for a new feature, it would be to work with a local GIT repository and have the ability to also update a remote GIT repository. This way, I can commit changes and/or move between different versions and branches, which would in turn, allow extreamly large groups of people to edit Mind Maps simultaniously world wide. Think of all the new users, that is buyers of SimpleMind, Model Maker Tools BV would gain in the form of developers.
I have used Mindjet for years, but switched to SimpleMind. Like the colours, layout and simple way to develop, edit, maps on my laptop or mobile. I organise all my to-do’s both biz and personal
I am a true fan of this software. I use it at many points in my workflow. This new version has a layout feature has given me more ideas where to use it. The most important aspect of the software is the willingness of the authors to update and keep the features coming. Well done !!!!
One of the most useful apps on my ipad ! I use it everyday, no bug, really intuitive.
I tried every kind of mind mapping software and services over serveral months and I found that SimpleMind was the most intuitive. Online mind mapping services may indeed be more robust, but I did not want to continue paying a monthly subscription. SimpleMinds ability to sync with Dropbox with the iPad and iPhone apps, means that you always have access to your mind maps whenever a great idea may strike! That was what I liked most about it. I also loved the ability to customize the style of my mind maps to my satisfaction. My thoughts on whatever topics I map are indeed much clearer and organized. I should have started mind mapping years ago.
I am using OS X 10.8.4 When I try to save the mind map as a PDF file, it freezes. After a restart of the application, I lost some modification before the freeze. It was stressful. My guess is that I am using Japanese characters as the file name, I trie once to change the file name to Alphabets, it worked. If the problem is what I guess, it will be a bug need to be fixed. I hope the develope team notice this and provide an update ASAP. Thank you in advance. I love the application very much by the way. Without the mentioned problem, it could be perfect, please fix this.
It’s a really great mind mapping app but there is some complexities in the design. It should be better to simplify some use case scenarios. Great job. Thank you.
I am knowledge manager and have some requests for improvement this app: 1. Please add iTunes integration for file sharing and (if possible) for iCloud 2. Ability to select multiple nodes for move on the canvas (for now nodes can be repositioned individually only) 3. Ability to automatically adjust canvas size and multipage printing 4. Ability to enter URLs in nodes 5. Icons customizaion 6. SVG export (if possible) for DocBook integration 7. Please add some kind of "Brainstorming mode" - ability to operate app on big screen while moderating brain storms (also in iPad version too). This app is the FASTEST available and can be used realtime whle brainstorming, but some interface improvement needed. Thank you!
Cant delete cross link by hitting backspace only through context menu Cant delete node by hitting backspace only through context menu Mark is 3 because this is paid version and it has bug
That is, the right balance between 3 mutually contradicting requirements is found. It is fun and easy enough to be a helper and not as a distraction. It displays enough kinds of data (links, images, notes, checked lists) to provide nontrivial support. It scales well enough (using links and collapsable branches) to be useful in real life covering the major part of all needs. When the limits of scalability are exceeded, it remains useful as a bird’s eye view.
A very good product to work with mid maps
A great software for mind maps, very simple on use, good saving maps in dropbox
The way this app save maps (all the maps you create are in one hidden folder and not in more files as any other software in the world) is so unbelivebly stupid. Apart from this, it is be a good app, with still a great potential to grow. Moreover, it does not alloy you to print big maps in more then one A4 sheet as Novamind or others. In otherword if you do not have a A3 printer, forget to print your maps unless they are very limited.
Excelent Idea, nice to organize ideas and organigrams….worth every cent
I generally do not write reviews, but SimpleMind deserves to be an exception. Other mind mapping tools have left me confused about how to get started and how to really be in control of the app—rather than it dictating how I do things. With SimpleMind, I just started working. Adding, organizing, linking, commenting—everything is set up to be intuitive and it just plain works. Love that it goes across devices and that it offers Family Share. I have nothing to complain about and only good things to say. BTW, I know it’s not a cheap app, but once you try the free version, you don’t think twice about spending the money.
